The FDA approved Semaglutide for weight loss. These GLP-1 drugs have been under study since 2009. As with any medication there are possible side effects. Most complaints center around nausea and vomiting while getting accustomed to the medications in the first 3 months. Patients with Thyroid cancer, Pancreatitis, and gallbladder issues are not good candidates.
